Join me on my adventure to the Isle of Arran in February, on a mission to spot and film Scotlands Big Five; golden eagle, red squirrel, grey seal, red deer and otter. Have a watch to see my days spent on this cute island in the Scottish Hebrides, with some tips on kit and technique. I have been working on my dream to become a wildlife filmmaker, I will hopefully soon release a moving image piece using all the shots taken here. My aim with this project was to focus more on the vlog side of things, rather than the neat and tidy final documentary/moving image. I think sometimes with wildlife photography/filmmaking it can all seem so perfect, when really it isn't most of the time! I wanted this to be a raw, true representation of what it is like trying to film wildlife in a rural location such as Arran. I hope you enjoy and maybe find it useful as well!

A vlog of my first visit to Wentwood near Calidcott, South Wales. A great and expansive place to explore. I have a look at the 900 year old 'Curley Oak', a veteran oak tree that has somehow survived being blocked from the sunlight by conifer trees for many hundreds of years. I also explore the Grey Hill stone circle, a bronze age stone circle with little knowledge of why it was erected. I filmed this vlog in March 2024.
